Real Christmas Tree Recycling in Northamptonshire 2018:

If your tree has roots, consider planting in the garden.  If not ensure it gets composted with your local council's garden waste collection, or take to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre. Here is a list about how you can dispose of your tree this Christmas.

Corby BC:          Collected for composting in the garden waste bin, on the scheduled collections in the New Year.  The tree needs to be cut up and placed into the bin, with the lid shut.

Daventry DC:     Collected for composting with first garden  waste collection of New Year – w/c 21st   Jan 2019.

East Northamptonshire C:       Collected with the first garden                             waste collection of the New Year.  Either place next to       the bin, or chop up and place into the garden waste        bin.

Kettering BC:     Real Christmas trees will be collected for composting from Monday 7th January for  two weeks.  Place them next to the blue or  grey bin on your recycling collections day.       Saw in half if it’s over 5 ft. tall.

Northampton BC:     Collected for composting in the brown garden waste bins during the first garden waste collections of the New     Year.  Larger trees can be left by the side of the bin.
